В английском языке, как и в русском, есть два вида числительных, порядковые (ordinal) и количественные (cardinal).Для начала уясним, различие между порядковыми и количественными числительными. В сущности, их названия говорят сами за себя.
- Порядковые числительные обозначают порядок предметов. Отвечают на вопрос Which? — Который?
- Что же, касается количественных числительных, они обозначают количество предметов и отвечают на вопрос How many? — Сколько?
Количественные (cardinal) числительные – это one, two, three, ten, twenty (один, два, три, десять, двадцать).Порядковые (ordinal) — the first, the second, the third, the tenth, the twentieth (первый, второй, третий, десятый, двадцатый)
